Traffic analytics

This site uses Baidu Analytics, Google Analytics 4 and self-hosted Umami to understand page visits, referrers, devices and clicks on share buttons. Services may measure these differently.

Reading experience analysis

Microsoft Clarity analyzes clicks, scrolling and page interactions through heatmaps and session replays to help improve mobile reading. This may involve page content, device information, cookies and visitor actions. For processing details, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement

Umami currently provides basic traffic and event analytics only; recording and heatmaps are not enabled. Do not enter passwords or other sensitive information in page URLs or the search box.

Article view counts

The browser stores a random anonymous identifier to deduplicate visits to the same article within 30 minutes. All language versions share the article count. The server stores a hash of the identifier as a temporary deduplication key. No login or name is required. Cumulative views have been recorded since the counter feature was launched.

Browser settings

You can manage cookies and local storage in your browser or restrict analytics scripts with a content blocker. Articles remain readable when analytics services cannot load.
